Morning Watch

From where He sits enthroned He watches all the inhabitants of the earth—Psalm 33:14

Watch us, O Lord! Take the morning watch for our lives, for your watch is better than that of the most skilled sentry. Let your eyes behold our need, the dangers that lurk before us in this day! Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications! (Psalm 130:1-2)

Watch us, O Lord, that we may be fully aware of your presence in our lives and your interest in our concerns. For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. (Psalm 130:7)

Watch us, O Lord, that we not wander into the deep woods of hatred, prejudice, debt, selfishness, gluttony. If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered.” (Psalm 130:3-4)

Watch us, O Lord, that our thoughts are only for that which is true, honorable, just, pure, pleasing, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise. It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities. (Psalm 130:8)

Would that your eyes be always on my life and soul, for your eyes are  Absolute Truth and Perfect Justice. Your eyes restore my hope that righteousness will be victorious in the earth and in my life. I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. (Psalm 130:5-6)
