Dissent

Dissent is like standing on the edge of a cliff. It is uncomfortable. Not many want to join you. Many sense that something is wrong, yet dissent seems unacceptable. On the other hand, that we will put a Trump or Clinton in our nation’s White House is hard to conceive.

There comes a time when dissent is a viable option. Our nation was born in dissent. Imperfect men and women came together to change the course of history, willing to give their lives to give us a nation where people had the right to dissent, a nation where citizens could choose not to hand our nation over to a corrupt future.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know Your name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9-10
