In Your Voice

For He spoke, and it came to be, He commanded, and it stood firm. Psalm 33:9

Lord, in Your Voice today I have found strength. Ascribe to the Lord. O heavenly being, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

In Your Voice I have found majesty. Ascribe to the Lord the glory his name; worship the Lord in holy splendor.

In Your Voice, I have found power. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over the mighty waters.

In Your Voice I have found sovereignty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.

In Your Voice I have found justice. The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

In Your Voice I have found the Lord of the Universe. The voice of the Lord causes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forest bare; and in his temple all say, “Glory!” The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. (Psalm 29:1-10)

Your Voice alone was sufficient for this day. You spoke to every need my soul brought to You. You were there for my family, my marriage, my nation, my world. You Voice reached into the places where I could not go. Your Voice brought change where no human heart knew there was need. Your Voice knew and responded with compassion. May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)

As the night passes, may Your Voice be the driver of all dreams, turning persons and peoples to You, Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
